First, find the meeting’s time and location. This can be found on the Board or Commission’s main page (accessed below, via the meeting’s Calendar entry or the Boards & Commissions list). Not all meetings are at City Hall, so it’s important to confirm the location, if attending in person.
You can also watch meetings live online.
-
When entering the meeting space, you are free to sign in, if prompted. Next, look for available handouts, like a meeting agenda, then find a seat. If you have vision or hearing difficulties, look for seating that is near the front and close to a television monitor (monitors are installed in City Hall Commission Chambers), which may display presentation materials throughout the meeting.
-
If a meeting agenda is available, it’s helpful to follow along in order to know when agenda items and public comments are expected. Some meetings can last hours, so you may also want to take notes to help you remember important information later.
